Frequently asked questions about the IAM wiki
Frequently asked questions about the IAM wiki:
What is a wiki? A wiki is server-based software that allows anyone (with an account) to edit pages here, making information-sharing useful and fun. For more info check out the official Wikipedia entry.
Do I have to use the wiki if I am a part-time faculty in the IAM department? No. Using the wiki is entirely by choice. But if you want a solution whereby you can edit pages from anywhere, here is yet another one.
How is the wiki integrated into the IAM website? In dribs and drabs, mostly. Some of the IAM website pages link to specific things inside the wiki.
I've never used a Wiki before, how do I learn? The Wiki world is extensively documented. Try MediaWiki Home link on the nav bar to the left, or just explore by clicking an edit button.
