- The mission posted on this page is the official mission stated on the Columbia College Chicago Student Organization page.
- The purpose of this organization is to provide students with the opportunity, experience, and resources to pursue a career in Computer Science outside of the classrooms of Columbia College Chicago. By collaborating with the faculty in the Interactive Arts & Media department, this organization can expand upon criteria in the curriculum to assist students in competing with their peers for careers in the industry of computer science. Though the main focus of this organization is to provide an emphasis on computer programming, rather than constructing computational devices, it is intended for the organization to delve into all aspects of computer science in order to prevent educational limitations for its members. It is our hope that through this organization, students will gain the proper motivation to pursue the art of Computer Science, and prove Columbia College Chicago's capability as an educational institution of science, as well as art.
