Automatic Clearances

All students are automatically granted clearance for these categories.

• Audio Cables Audio Cables
• Batteries Batteries

• Audio (Basic) Take MTD2 or attend a basic audio training session.
• Audio (Intermediate) Take Sound and Motion or any sound class above MTD2.
• Audio (Professional) Take Sound and Motion or any sound class above MTD2.

• BookRestriction Books automatic
• Data Storage Computer Peripherals automatic
• Data Transfer Cables Data Transfer Cables automatic

• Video Game Equipment Game Equip See Nick Johnson
• Laptops MTD2 AND OOP. MTD2 must be completed but the student can currently be enrolled in OOP. Check the Student's schedule no matter what.
• Lights Take Sound and Motion or attend a light kit training session.

• Photo (Basic) Available to any IAM students
• Photo (Intermediate) Take MTD1 or DID.
• Photo (Professional) Take 2D Imaging or attend a professional photography training session.
• Projectors Available to staff members and students taking Public Art or IAM Practicum.

• Tripods (Pro) Attend a professional tripod demonstration or take Sound and Motion.

• Video (Professional) Take Sound and Motion.
• Video (Professional) Attend an HD video training session.

If you have taken a class already and believe that you should have clearance for something, please bring a copy of your transcript to the Equipment Cave and we will assist you in getting cleared.
