Large Gel Ket

Gels are semitransparent plastic sheets used with lights to change their color. A blue gel placed in front of a light will make it a blue light. The Gel Kit contains a bunch of gels that you can use with light.

Using a Gel

When you need to use a Gel, you will need to put it into a frame. You can use the frame provided, or sometimes a light may have it's own frame. There should be a way, through clips or slots, to insert the gel. You may have to cut down the gel to a appropriate size for the frame.

Relatively Acceptable Gel Placement

Most of the time a gel doesn't need to be completely flush with the frame (depending on frame). It doesn't need to be perfect, since a distorted gel will still change the color of a light.

Normally, do not use multiple gels in one frame. If you are trying to combine colors, like red and blue into purple, just find a gel of the desired color. If you use multiple gels anyway, please keep an eye on the gels especially if they are very close to the light. Fires may ensue.
