Connect a Wired 360 Controller to the Xbox 360
- Plug the Xbox 360 Wired Controller into a USB port on the Xbox 360 console. There are two USB ports on the front of the console behind an oval door. To disconnect the controller, pull on the connector, not the cable.
- The cable on the Xbox 360 Wired Controller has an inline release. The inline release on the controller cable is a safety feature designed to reduce the chance of the Xbox 360 console falling if the cable is pulled.
