XBOX 360 Hard Drive

The Xbox 360 Hard drive is useful for storing game saves, music, video, and setting information. The new Xbox 360 systems are not compatible with this drive, but both systems can use flash drives or external hard drives. These items must be formatted for use with only the XBox 360 System. FORMATTING THE DEVICE WILL TRASH ALL CURRENT INFORMATION ON THE DEVICE

How to install the XBox 360 Hard Drive

Please Note: The New XBox 360 Systems are not compatible with this Hard Drive. A flash drive or an external hard drive can be used instead.

  1. Along the shallow end of the drive, there is a lever button. Place the drive, this end first, on the top of the 360 system. Gently push the drive down until it clicks into the system.

How to remove the XBox 360 Hard Drive

  1. Along the shallow end of the drive, there is a lever button. Place finger ontop of this button and gently push. Use your other hand to remove the drive from the back of the system and pull up.

How to transfer information from your 360 drive to another device

  1. Make sure that both devices are properly connected to the Xbox 360 System
  2. Turn on the XBox 360 System.
  3. Go to system preferences, then memory.
  4. Go to copy information, the system will ask you what devices you would like to copy from and to.
  5. The system will ask you if you would like to format the device.FORMATTING THE DEVICE WILL TRASH ALL CURRENT INFORMATION ON THE DEVICE, so make sure all the information you would wish to have is stored in another location.>
