Tutor

Tutors report to the Interactive Arts and Media campus at assigned times to participate in the department's production environment and to tutor students on a walk-in basis. Tutors will be well versed in industry standard,departmental and College production values. Tutors maintain contact with specific faculty and advertise their services directly to students in the classroom. Tutors are required to lead scheduled tutorials in the studio environment and undertake departmental production projects as assigned.

Tutors assist students with homework and maintain documentation of their work. Understand punchlock timesheets/payroll requirements. Assist in preparing tutor proficiencies list and posting of tutor hours by the 2nd week of classes. Work with Demos and Tutorials Assistant to identify and match tutor hours with classroom instruction, so that the needs of faculty (tutor rounds) are met by the 3rd and 10th week of classes.

Tutor Proficiency Areas Tutor candidates' skills span the gamut of technological and aesthetic criteria taught in the courses of the Interactive Arts and Media department. Tutors will be highly proficient with one or more of the following:

Programming Web Design 3D Graphic Design Multimedia Audio and Video Imaging and Printing Tech Theory Productivity Game Development

Tutors understand concepts regarding IAM Network accounts. Are versed in FTP/web, blog and Wiki demos curricula. Understand basic departmental security and customer service. They must maintain a 3.0 GPA at all times.
