Studio Aide (software, hardware, network, virtual)

Student will assist IAM staff with studio technology. Student understands how to prepare and clean studios for classroom instruction. Student attends customer service tutorial. Student participates punchclock/timesheets/paydates tutorial. Student attends fire safety tutorial and knows procedures covered in vacuuming and cleaning surfaces tutorials. Student maintains cleaning supplies. Student observes keyboard and mouse cleaning schedule. Attends Mandatory Meeting I or Mandatory Meeting II. Student logs system identification on wiki as necessary. Understands and facilitates basic troubleshooting tech. Understands and utilizes tech reporting requirements. Is conversant with procedures regarding network reporting requirements. Knows basics of interoffice cartage. Completes 405 Setup as necessary. Understands jobbing documentation. Participates in studio opening and closing procedures. Conducts tours of "I Am Columbia" isle in Second Life (requires free account). Understands and exercises basic departmental security. Handles special projects and assignments as necessary.
