Creating and Editing Equipment Categories

This tutorial will show you how to create, edit, and update categories within the Equipment Database.

  1. Log in to the IAM website using the MyIAM Login on the right side of the page.:Login.jpg

  2. Once you are logged in, click on IAM Resources. On the Resources page, there is the Department Resources section. Click on the Equipment Checkout link at the top of that section.:Resources.jpg

  3. When you enter the Equipment Database, clock on Category within the navigation menu.:MainEquipment.jpg

  4. The Category page displays all of the created categories and equipment types. You can edit or create an equipment category by clicking Select next to any category.:Categories.jpg

  5. Once you select a category you can make an edit or a new category.:NewEdit.jpg

  6. If you choose to edit a category, you can change its active status, name, and update it accordingly.:Edit Category.jpg

  7. If you choose to create a category, you can enter its name and activity status. Click on insert to add the entry to the database.:Create Category.jpg
