Interactive Arts & Media internships are available for advanced students to help bridge the skills taught in the classroom with those demonstrated in the industry and provide an opportunity to gain valuable work experience. Typical internships are ten to twenty hours per week, with a ratio of one credit for every 75 hours spent onsite.
Internship opportunities can be found on the IAM Blog and ColumbiaWorks. Students must be at a junior level and maintain a 3.0 G.P.A. to qualify for a for-credit IAM internship. The Portfolio Center can assist students in building their portfolios and the Writing Center has tutors available to assist in preparing resumes. Both a resume and portfolio are required to begin the internship application process.
All IAM Internships queries should be directed to Philip Nadasdy, External Relations Coordinator.
