Summer Intern: Web Developer

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented Web Developer Intern for our 3-month Summer Internship Program.

Key Activities/Skills:

Working closely with a supervisor and a mentor, the Web Developer Intern will be responsible for

  • Will be working independently or on a team to complete project tasks
  • Working toward mastery of HTML/CSS layout and functional JS coding
  • Developing detailed development project plans
  • Understanding of web standards and best practices
  • Experience in hand coding HTML, CSS and JS
  • Understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
  • Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
  • Practical understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 with a foundation in SEO and Accessibility
  • Experience with some technologies such as Ruby, PHP, Java or .NET, etc.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A good communicator with skill and interest in web development
  • An idea generator with keen problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented; able to take direction and follow-through on a variety of tasks
  • A multi-tasker with excellent time management skills
  • Eager, curious and passionate about digital media and the Web

Additional Information:

Summer Internship Program will be 40 hours/week, on-site

Paid internship with hourly rate
