Everything is a Spectacle

In Piercing the Spectacle: A Situationist Critique of Computer Games, Katie Salen and Eric Zimmerman state that the reason because there is no good educational video games is because in order to create one that will actually teach us, we would have to reinvent the education system itself.  Salen and Zimmerman state that Education as of now is just a spectacle and doesn’t help people learn, instead it is geared towards teaching people how to pass tests.  Because of this, it is impossible to create a good video game.
